Pole changing circuit for two speeds 1:2
Functional description
On pole changing motors with one winding the number of poles is changed by a different winding connection. The most often used solution is the Dahlander circuit. In this circuit each of the three winding strands consists of two coil groups whose poles are changed (delta-double star) by series or parallel connection. Two speeds in the ratio 1:2 are thus possible by changing over with the cam-operated switch.
