The FP-X-serie is programmable with the software FPWINPro according to IEC 61131-3 under Windows - like all controls from Panasonic.
Applications
For real complex control tasks we use the SPS-controls type FP-X from Panasonic. The 3 CPU types are available with 14, 30 and 60 I/Os and up to 32000 program steps. Special expansion casssettes allow a flexible adaption of the control, eg. analogue I/Os, memory expansion, fast counters or impulse. Using an adapter it is possible to connect the FP-O expansion modules for special functions. In connection with touch-terminals it is possible to enter signals and parameters over several menu pages as well as visualising the operating status of the facility. The programming is done according to IEC61131-3. The control is characterised by a fast command processing. A subsequent expansion up to 300 I/Os is possible.

Expansion modules
All FP-X CPUs can be equipped with up to 3 FP0-expansions using the FP0-adapter. Additionally expansion cassettesoffer more I/Os and intelligent functions. The maximum expansion is reached in the following way.
Without FP0-adapter: CPU + 8 FP-X expansion modules + 3 expansion cassettes.
With FP0-adapter: CPU + 7 FP-X expansion modules + 3 expansion cassettes.
