Phase sequence changeover for 3-phase applications

Description
According to DIN EN60204-1 Section 7.8, a phase sequence monitoring must be provided wherever a wrong phase sequence of the supply voltage can cause a hazardous condition or damage to the machine.
Particulars
- Optimal protection against starting in the wrong rotation direction
- Starting lock in case of a missing phase in the network
- Effective protection for both personnel and machine
- Cost-effective as it is supplied completely
Operating conditions that can lead to a wrong phase sequence include:
- A machine is switched from one power supply to another
- A mobile machine with the possibility of connection to an external power supply

Function description
Direction locks are used in machines where starting in the wrong rotational direction poses a risk to the drive, the product being produced, or the operating personnel. Such drives can include, for example, conveyor belts in production facilities, mixing devices for mortar and similar materials, or gearbox units.
The control board for rotating field switching checks the incoming rotating field from the power supply and switches the corresponding output relay for the respective output contactor, ensuring that the desired rotating field is always present at the output.
