Function Description
The KLIBO star-delta brake timer system is specially designed for starting in star-delta configuration and braking of squirrel-cage motors. Here, the start and brake times can be individually adjusted for the respective application. All other switching sequences are time-optimized and controlled and monitored by a controller with a watchdog. The output signals for the star, delta, and brake contactors are switched by powerful relays. An additionally integrated relay with a changeover contact allows the control circuit and, if necessary, the main switch to be locked during the braking phase. The KLIBO phase brake system is particularly suitable for braking. With this model, the braking current is switched to the motor windings via a brake contactor. To achieve the highest possible braking torque, the braking current can be connected to 2 or even 3 windings. For two-winding braking, the star contactor can be activated during braking using a jumper.
