Delay switches are used to switch on and off, for example, electric motors or other inductive loads with a time delay. This is an important feature to ensure smooth starting. When switching on electric motors, high inrush currents occur, which can be approximately six times the nominal current. If two motors are switched on simultaneously, the starting currents may be in a range that can trigger the upstream fuse. To prevent this, the second drive is switched on with a delay using a delay switch. This has the additional advantage that the second drive switches on automatically after about 3 seconds without further operation and switches off automatically after the main drive is turned off. This is a useful feature for extraction systems and much more. The Auto-0-Hand switch (optional) allows the extraction (Slave) to be operated even when the saw (Master) is not switched on. Each master socket independently activates the two slave sockets.
