Functional description
Starting automation is used to switch on, for example, electric motors or other inductive loads with a time delay. This is an important feature to ensure a trouble-free start.
When electric motors are turned on, high inrush currents occur, which can be approximately six times the rated current. If two motors are switched on simultaneously,
the starting currents are in a range where the upstream fuse may trip. To prevent this, the second drive is activated with a time delay using a starting delay.
This is a useful feature for extraction systems and much more.

CCST with variable on-off time and switch-on threshold, 3 potentiometers
The CCST delay control receives its operating voltage through the terminals L1 and N.
The control signal of the delay control is the load current of the connected consumer. The controlling consumer is connected between the terminals L1 Load and N. The supply line L1 Load to the load must be routed through the current transformer.
When the consumer is turned on, the relay actuates after a delay, connecting contact SP to terminal N. When the load current interrupts, the relay opens again after a delay. The contact SP controls, for example, an extraction system via a contactor.
Depending on the version, the module may only be operated at 230V or 400V.
There must be a protection for this module.
If a potential-free switching contact is required, the bridge (through-hole) between the terminals N and NSP should be cut with a 3mm drill. The copper ring around the hole should be completely removed. The relay's switching contact then lies between SP and NSP.
