Function description
Start-up automations are used to switch on, for example, electric motors or other inductive loads with a time delay. This is an important feature to ensure trouble-free starting.
When switching on electric motors, high inrush currents occur, which can be about six times the rated current. If two motors are switched on simultaneously, the starting currents can reach a level that may cause the upstream fuse to trip. To prevent this, the second drive is switched on with a time delay using a start delay. This has the additional advantage that the second drive automatically switches on in about 1-4 seconds without further operation and automatically switches off with a time delay after the main drive is turned off.
This is a useful feature for extraction systems and much more.
