For more complex control tasks, we use PLC controllers of the FP-X type from Panasonic. The 3 CPU types are available with 14, 30, and 60 I/O and up to 32000 program steps. Special expansion cartridges allow flexible adaptation of the control, for example, analog I/O, memory expansion, fast counters, or pulses. An adapter also allows the connection of FP-0 expansion modules for special functions. In conjunction with touch terminals, both signal and parameter inputs can be entered across multiple menu pages, and the operating states of the system can be visualized. Programming is done according to IEC61131-3. The controller is characterized by fast command processing and can also be expanded to a maximum of 300 I/Os afterwards.
